INVITE A VETERAN TO ROTARY!
Wednesday, November 9th, is a special meeting - Invite a Veteran to Rotary. If you know any veterans from the 1st or 2nd World War or any other conflict the US has been involved in, please invite them to join us for breakfast. We already have confirmation from at least 6 veterans, some of whom will also be speakers. Make sure to contact Carolina Chacon if you have guests coming so she can have a headcount for breakfast.
Thank you Dr. Lee Lau for arranging for this special meeting.

President’s Message: It is Tuesday night and perhaps you are wondering if you should attend our Rotary meeting. You are tired and unsure if your fellow Rotarians will even notice that you are not present. Guess what? We do notice, we miss you at our meetings! We want your input and participation. This is “our” Rotary club YOU are a vital part of the family. Starting this week we will have a “Missing Rotarians” section. Take a minute to call our “Missing” fellow Rotarians and let them know they are missed. All phone numbers listed on our web site http://www.wcsunrise.org. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Day at the Theater: All

Red Ribbon Rally: All around a huge success. I know it is a lot of work, but also fun. If you didn’t volunteer this year, make sure you do so for next year. Making pancakes can actually be a lot of fun.

Shoots & Ladders: Well the police won – but I am sure you already know that with Mark and Mark rubbing it in at our meeting. Poor Alex, who was still black and blue from the tug or war event.

Stepping Stones for Women: Shopping with a Cause – Gift Boutique. Saturday, November 5th, at Neighborhood Christian Fellowship, 18821 Arrow Hwy, Covina (by Barranca). Many vendors including Mary Kay, Princess House, Heavenly Treasures, Creative Memories, Blue Chair Book Store, PartyLite, Longaberger, Juice Plus. Call Alyssa Benton for more info 626-384-0514.

Community Cards: West Covina High School Basketball is selling Community Discount Cards. The cost per card is $10 and you get various discounts at many local retailers for one whole year. Please see Gary Larson (818-489-0041) for more details & purchase of the cards.

West Covina High School Basketball Advertising Banners: You can purchase a banner to hang in the gym at West Covina High School for only $300.00. The banner will hang for the whole year during all events at the gym. See Gary Larson (818-489-0041) for details.

Program: Northview High School Coach David Ochoa spoke about the Wrestling program at Northview. The program has produced quite a few champions at the High School level who have moved on to various colleges and have been very successful there as well.
