District Assembly for the 2006-2007 Rotary Year:
April 22, 2006, Etiwanda Gardens. All Officers and Committee Members should plan to attend. For those of you new on the board -- and we welcome and thank you --- the district assembly is a “training” session for the various roles on the board.

Program: The West Covina Unified School District has over the last couple of years implemented a Literacy Coaches Program and is looking for volunteers to work within the program. They need volunteers to not only read to the kids, read with the kids, listen to the kids read, and to encourage them to keep up their studies and continue their education – in other words – being good role models for the many disadvantaged students in the District. The District has many different programs available at all grade levels from Kinder Garden through High School. Please contact Gary Lawson if you are interested. You can volunteer every day or once per year. The volunteering opportunities in the classrooms are endless…..

Raffle: Vatche walked away with $10. Still lots and lots of cards left.
